The Units / Terms of Service

Terms of Service.

Effective · September 1, 2025
These Terms of Service govern your use of the website operated by Lion Medical Waste LLC ("the Company," "we," "us"), 11365 Pendleton St, Sun Valley, CA 91352, United States, and the general conditions under which the Company provides medical transport, tissue banking, collection, and health screening services. By accessing this website, you agree to these terms.

1. Nature of This Website

This website is provided for general informational purposes. It describes the Company's service units but does not constitute medical advice, a promise of service availability, or an offer to provide services in any jurisdiction where licensure is required and not held. No provider-patient relationship is formed by visiting this site or submitting an intake form.

2. Services

All services — medical transport, tissue banking and collection, and health screening — are provided pursuant to written service agreements, consent forms, or intake authorizations specifying scope, responsibility, and terms. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and a signed service agreement, the agreement controls.

2.1 Emergencies

This website and its contact channels are not an emergency dispatch service. For life-threatening emergencies, call 911 or your local emergency number. Transport requests are scheduled through our dispatch line and are subject to unit availability, medical necessity, and service agreements.

2.2 Licensing

Transport, collection, and screening services are performed by personnel holding the licenses and certifications their roles require. The Company operates each unit within the regulatory framework applicable to it and may decline any service request it cannot lawfully or safely perform.

2.3 Requester Obligations

Organizations requesting services agree to provide accurate patient, donor, or participant information through authorized channels; to obtain required consents and authorizations; and to designate a point of contact for service coordination.

3. Chain of Custody and Records

Specimens, tissue, blood products, and related records are handled under documented chain of custody. The Company maintains custody logs and medical records as required by law. Requesters and recipients agree to preserve the integrity of custody documentation for any materials transferred to their control.

4. Protected Health Information

The Company handles protected health information in accordance with applicable law and its privacy practices. No patient identifiers or protected health information should be transmitted through the website intake form or unsecured email. Parties transmitting PHI to the Company agree to do so through authorized secure channels.

5. Fees and Payment

Fees for services are stated in service agreements or rate schedules and may be structured per transport, per collection, per screening participant, or by contract. Invoices are payable within the stated period. The Company may suspend scheduled services for accounts materially past due upon written notice, except where suspension would conflict with emergent obligations.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, graphics, layout, and design — is the property of Lion Medical Waste LLC or its licensors and is protected by copyright. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. No other reproduction or distribution is permitted without written consent.

7. Acceptable Use of This Website

You agree not to: (a) use the website for any unlawful purpose; (b) submit false or misleading service requests; (c) transmit protected health information through unsecured channels; (d) attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or records; (e) impersonate any person or organization; or (f) interfere with the operation of the website.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

This website is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Service descriptions are informational and do not guarantee availability of any unit or crew at any time. Medical services are provided under the standard of care required by applicable licensure; nothing on this site constitutes a guarantee of outcome.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company's aggregate liability arising from or related to this website shall not exceed one hundred dollars. Liability for services is governed by the applicable service agreement. In no event shall the Company be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from use of this website.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lion Medical Waste LLC from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of this website, your transmission of PHI through unauthorized channels, or your provision of inaccurate information material to service delivery.

11. Third-Party Sites

This website may contain links to third-party websites for convenience. The Company does not endorse and is not responsible for the content, products, or practices of any third-party site.

12. Termination

Service agreements terminate as provided in their terms. Obligations accrued before termination — including payment and record-retention duties — survive. Provisions concerning confidentiality, PHI protection, indemnification, and limitation of liability survive termination.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or use of this website shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and the parties consent to their jurisdiction. Service agreements may specify alternative dispute-resolution procedures, which shall control for disputes under them. Nothing in these Terms limits rights patients or donors hold under applicable healthcare law.

14. Severability and Waiver

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The current version will be posted on this page with its effective date. Continued use of the website following a revision constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
